Build 11. Horn

The horn was a simple job, tracking down the parts however took some time! As my build is the 420R it comes with a dry sump, and as such one of the boxes had a small packet with the dry sump "expansion bottle plate" (as named in their manual (on page 58 or V2.3), and in this packet was the bolt and spacer for the horn! (See image with the box below!)

The washers and (full height M8 nut) were sourced from Pack C. In the end I had to buy a pack of half height M8 nyloc nuts because the full height nut didn't show enough thread for the IVA.

As the horns are mounted from one bolt, the first job was to stick the horns in a vice and rotate them enough so the electrical connectors would be close together. After this you can simply mount them through the hole (...that you have already drilled before mounting the steering rack right... If not an 8mm hole needs drilling).

You can now connect the electrical connectors to them (you will need to snip the cable tie that is holding them in the chassis, and re route them)

Finished horn, wiring in place, note the half height M8 nyloc in the background which is just enough to allow 2 threads to pop out of the bottom and keep IVA happy.
